Did you mean what you said When you asked how I was doing? Cause if not, it's okay to just drop by and say "hey," But you told a lie straight to my face Now I'm walking away So say what you mean Mean what you say I don't want your stupid promise, I want your guarantee And this heart is on the search for some truth And it looks like I won't be finding it in you So say what you mean Mean what you say Are you sincere about your promises? Cause I would rather hear your guarantee And that way I'll know when my heart is broken Me and pain won't be the only thing I see So say what you mean Mean what you say I don't want your stupid promise, I want your guarantee And this heart is on the search for some truth And it looks like I won't be finding it in you So say what you mean Mean what you say Girl to be, or not to be sincere or insincere If you don't stand for something, then you'll fall for anything Well I was hoping you'd fall for me So say what you mean Mean what you say I don't want your stupid promise, I want your guarantee And this heart is on the search for some truth And it looks like I won't be finding it in you So say what you mean Mean what you say

Maker's Mark 02:17
The doctor says I cope with my depression well My vane of self solutions is a wishing well It seems to be that all I hold inside Is a wish to follow Jesus, but no will to fight At the bottom of a river run with whiskey The sand beds move slower than they seem The light don't reach the bottom of this tired heart That I stand today is a testament to my Maker's mark It's been a few years since I knew forgiveness And twice as long since I told the truth But to have sat with you for just a few more hours man Couldn't have made up for one last thing on my mind

Brother 04:05
Brother, I will bear I will bear your burdens, if you bear mine We could be a threefold cord With our hearts intertwined With our hearts intertwined A friend is what you are 'Cause you love me all the time You see me through my stubborn pride And you ease my worried mind You ease my worried mind When I need some sharpening You grind me out, you grind me out 'Cause we're not made to go alone We're not made to go alone We're not made to go alone A friend is what you are 'Cause you love me all the time You see me through my stubborn pride And you ease my worried mind You ease my worried mind We're not made to fight this war alone Brother, I will bear I will bear your burdens If you bear mine

Walls 05:04
I sold all the memories I had of you and my first guitar, I named it after you I wonder what your mother did with all pictures of you and me In your backyard, singing and swinging These are thoughts I should put to rest But I'm not one easy to forget, I hold memories so close Well I've always wondered why gravity is here Why is it here? Cause it hurts when I get pulled from the atmosphere I guess God knew I liked chasing shooting stars So He keeps me from falling, keeps me safe from harm I'm not guaranteed my tomorrow So what am I living for, is it for myself? If I'm building my own castle, then let it fall Because what good is a kingdom with no, kingdom with no home? So Lord please break these walls of sand and stone, and build me a home founded on grace and love alone Lord please break these walls of sand and stone and build me a home founded on grace and love alone

You taught me that not all hellos will finish with goodbye, and that not everything that grows has a limit on how high You know there's a dayspring in the puddle and there's a freedom in the wind. When it rains, I swear I can hear you whisper breathe now, this will end You were there for the worst of me, you were when I rest my bones you were there to hold my shaking hands you were there in your sunflower dress. You taught me that not all hellos get to finish with goodbye Then you left for home for good, love Sometimes I wonder, why couldn't I? You were there for the worst of me, you were when I rest my bones you were there to hold my shaking hands you were there in your sunflower dress. So I'l see you there, my darling I'll see you there at your best You'll be there at the feet of Jesus You'll be there in your sunflower dress

Escape 03:25
I'll pack all my bags for the city, to escape these embarrassing roots I'll make a new life in the city I'll pretend that I'm hiding from you, I'll pretend that I'm hiding from you I'll make the right choices of clothing So it seems I'm not trying too hard No I won't wash my hair in the mornings And I'll be sure to hide my true heart I'll be sure to hide my true heart And I'll speak the right lingo in the markets And I'll try hard to meet the right folks I'll hide who i am to belong here But I'll only be longing for love Oh I'll only be longing for love Love is hard to come by in the city Cause everyone is here for themselves Well I've bought a lie that tells me My treasure is in finding myself Oh my treasure is in finding myself The city may reject me as a phony Well, deep down I hope they do Cause I don't belong in the city Unless the city is where I've followed you Lord, the city is where I've followed you

Song for Fox 07:30
You hear the cry from across the night of a wolf who's missed the moon She sits on her hill for hours until she resolves to get some sleep To see you again, my dear sweet friend would be such sweet relief But a man can only stand as tall as the roof over his head, and a day only lasts as long as the sun spends deciding to set A soldier sent to scout ahead dreams daily of his own bed until he finds a land with peace on his hands How could he ever go back home, oh how could he ever go back home? Cause a man can only stand as tall as the roof over his head, and a day only lasts as long as the sun spends deciding to set Will I hold my fort or migrate north? There's no line to be drawn at the start To follow the pack and move on, move on back or stay here in the ashes of my heart A man can only stand as tall as the rood over his head and a day only lasts as long as the sun spends deciding to set I feel the tide, the pull of the moon You're the land that I always thought I'd sail to Now the echo of a howl is ringing out A memory of you and me A memory of a land that seemed so free, oh a memory of you and me But I can only stand as tall as the roof over my head and a day only lasts as long Oh, this sun has decided to set

about

We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to make this EP together. Really, we wouldn't have been able to even harbor the idea if not for the number of you sweet folks cheering us on and supporting us (both financially and by way of food) these past few months.

James and myself (Joshua) met in high school, and started writing together freshman year of college. This album is the product of our two very different backstories, political views, theologies, and lifestyles, coming together in a really unique sort of experiment. The songs on this record are about death, friendship, coming of age, love, frustration...all of which come together in a way that really expresses our differences and likenesses with a clarity that we're just proud of.

Thanks for buying our record and listening our music!
